First of all, I wasnt even driving when it happened, my dad was. I never got to even say good bye.
Anyway, my dad was driving along on a county trunk road at about 55mph (the X was getting calipers painted; on jacks) and while taking a long sweeper of a turn, he is side swiped by a fuckin Dodge Decrepid and tossed through about 300yds of mud and Corn Stalks and finall stops w/ a nose plant into a monstrous tree.
The shop called last night and said that its only about 20% salvageable, and that this was the damage:(most of it)
1 engine mount snapped off, 1 bent, front axle bent in two places, frontal right side of frame bent in 3+(unkown) places, radiator broken in half, full HL assembly torn apart, windshield completely off the car and shattered, right side A-pillar bent(untweakable)....and the list most likely goes on. We havent gotten a quote from the insurance company, but considering the car had over 150k miles on it, the money I get will probably just be salt in the wounds. Im still in disbelief, but maybe this is gods way of giving me an invitation to the dark side.
